Having transitioned to an online business model in 2014, Lysaght customer, Metalroofing Online, found itself in an enviable position when COVID-19 took effect in Australia in March 2020.

Selling a full range of LYSAGHT® roofing and cladding products, rainwater goods and associated materials, Lillian Lee who started the business with husband Darren Swaine, said the last 18 months had been extremely busy.

“Demand was strong from the time we started the online business, but the last 18 months in particular has been amazing,” Lillian said.

With only one main customer-facing location on Melbourne’s picturesque Mornington Peninsula, Metalroofing Online is reliant on Lysaght to directly distribute the building products to Metalroofing Online’s customers wherever in the country they’re located.

This close partnership with Lysaght is one that actually began some 20 years ago when Lillian and Darren opened their first ‘traditional’ shop.

“I remember when we applied for an account with Lysaght and were successful, I was over the moon,” Lillian said.

Lillian said that her company services a range of customers, from ‘DIYers’ to builders and large construction companies, who are attracted by the convenience of online ordering.
